Abstract: In various embodiments, assemblies, systems and vehicles are provided. In various embodiments, a connector assembly system is disposed within a vehicle body, and includes an electrical terminal, a housing, and a terminal position assurance (TPA) device. The housing includes one or more walls forming a cavity disposed within the housing and configured to allow passage therethrough. The TPA device includes one or more bodies configured to be disposed within the cavity while the terminal is also disposed within the cavity. The one or more bodies are configured to reduce a clearance for the terminal at a plurality of different directions when the TPA device and the terminal are disposed within the cavity, to thereby inhibit unwanted movement of the terminal within the housing.

Abstract: An electrical connector verification system including a microphone for detecting a first sound generated by an engagement of a locking mechanism of an electrical connector and for generating a first signal representative of the first sound, a processor for generating a control signal in response to the first signal matching a second signal representative of a second sound generated in response to a correct engagement of the locking mechanism of the electrical connector above a certainty threshold, and a user interface for displaying an indication of a correctly seated electrical connector in response to the control signal.
