Abstract: A ventilation system for a seat cushion comprises a reticulated ventilation manifold disposed in the seat cushion. The ventilation manifold has an inlet disposed adjacent a first side of the cushion and a plurality of manifold ducts extending from the inlet to terminate in outlets disposed at or near openings in a second side of the cushion. A fan motor is attached adjacent the first side of the cushion and has a fan outlet in fluid communication with the inlet of the ventilation manifold. The fan motor operates to apply a positive or a negative pressure, via the fan outlet to the ventilation manifold to supply air through the ventilation manifold and the cushion.

Abstract: A vehicle seat including a seatback, and headrest including a shell member. A release mechanism is mounted to the shell member. The release mechanism selectively locks the headrest relative to the seatback. An actuator system extends between the seatback and the headrest. The actuator system includes a sleeve having a first end fixedly connected relative to the seatback, a second end fixedly connected relative to the headrest shell, and an intermediate portion defining a longitudinal length of the sleeve, and a cable extending through the sleeve. The cable has a first end section arranged in the seatback and a second end section coupled to the release mechanism. The longitudinal length of the sleeve includes a first dimension when the seatback is in an upright position and the longitudinal length has a second, longer dimension, when the seatback is in a folded configuration.

Abstract: A multi-actuator capable vehicle headrest includes a headrest support and a multi-cam release mechanism mounted to the headrest support. The multi-cam release mechanism includes a first cam and a second cam. A headrest shell member is pivotally mounted to the headrest support through the multi-cam release mechanism. An actuator is mounted to the headrest shell member. The actuator includes a first actuator portion operable to disengage the multi-cam release mechanism based on a first input and a second actuator portion operable to disengage the multi-cam release mechanism based on a second input that is distinct from the first input allowing the multi-actuator capable vehicle headrest to transition between a deployed configuration and a folded configuration.
