    Abstract: A HUD apparatus for a vehicle includes a HUD patch defined upon a reflective surface of a windshield of the vehicle. A virtual image generator projects a virtual image within the HUD patch. An image sensor is coaligned with the virtual image generator and has a field of view including the HUD patch. A controller is configured to receive, from the image sensor, a HUD patch image, and to adjust the projected virtual image based upon the HUD patch image.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for transporting an object may include a plurality of transport vehicles. A transport vehicle may be autonomous, and may have one or more wheels extending from a body for engaging a ground surface. A method may include providing a destination for the object to the plurality of transport vehicles, wherein the plurality of transport vehicles determines a route to the destination, dividing the route into one or more route segments for the plurality of transport vehicles, encountering an obstacle with a first one of the transport vehicles while traveling along one of the route segments, and sending a location of the obstacle from the first transport vehicles to at least a second one of the transport vehicles. A second one of the transport vehicles may modify at least one of the route segments to avoid the obstacle based upon the provided location.

    Abstract: A flexible end-effector for a robot includes a frame and a clamp assembly movably coupled to the frame. As such, the clamp assembly is movable relative to the frame along a first direction, wherein the clamp assembly includes a locator and a clamp movably coupled to the locator. The clamp assembly also includes pneumatic actuator coupled to the clamp to move the clamp between an open position and a closed position. The flexible end-effector further includes linear motion slides coupled between the clamp assembly and the frame to allow the clamp assembly to move linearly relative to the frame along the first direction. Further, the flexible end-effector includes a servomotor assembly coupled to the linear motion slide to actuate the linear motion slide. The servomotor assembly includes a servomotor and a motor controller integrated with the servomotor.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly includes a pair of electrical connectors for electrically connecting to one another to close an electric circuit. The assembly further includes a connection indicator attached to one or more of the electrical connectors. The connection indicator generates a feedback, in response to the electrical connectors being one of connected to one another and disconnected from one another. The connection indicator is separate from the electric circuit, and the feedback is at least one of a radio frequency signal (RF signal), an electronic signal, a visible light, and an acoustic signal.
