摘要: This application is directed to a surveillance camera system including a magnet mount for physically receiving a camera module. The camera module includes a housing having an exterior surface of a first shape. A surface of the magnet mount has a second shape that is substantially concave and complementary to the first shape, and is configured to engage the exterior surface of the housing of the camera module. A magnetic material is disposed inside the magnet mount and configured to magnetically couple to a magnetic material of the camera module. A friction pad is embedded on the surface of the magnet mount, has a substantially concave shape and protrudes beyond the second surface. The friction pad is configured to come into contact with the exterior surface of the housing of the camera module at least via a peripheral edge of the substantially concave friction pad.

摘要: This application is directed to a camera that includes a housing, a lens assembly and a plurality of electronic components. The lens assembly is arranged at a front portion of the housing and configured for focusing light received from outside of the camera. The heat dissipation element is configured to transfer heat from the plurality of electronic components to the rear portion of the housing.

The modular floodlight system includes a floodlight device having a main housing that supports multiple floodlights and a modular camera device. The main housing includes a magnetic mount that magnetically secures the camera device to a mounting surface and enables 3-axis articulation of the camera device relative to the main housing. The main housing also includes a power supply unit that supplies electrical power to the camera device and the floodlights. In aspects, the floodlights are assembled to opposing sides of the main housing. In addition, the main housing includes passive infrared sensors that expand and supplement motion-detection capabilities of the camera device. The modular aspect of the modular floodlight system enables the camera device to be easily replaced with another modular device, simplifies installation for consumers, and increases an ability of the modular floodlight system to be reworked.

摘要: This document describes techniques directed to a modular floodlight system with supplemental motion detection. The modular floodlight system includes a camera unit magnetically coupled to an accessory unit. The accessory unit includes passive infrared, PIR, sensors that expand and supplement motion-detection capabilities of the camera unit. For example, the accessory unit PIR sensor provides a PIR field of view, FOV, that is different than the PIR FOV of the camera unit's PIR sensor. Motion detected in either or both of the PIR FOVs is used to cause of change in functionality of the camera system such as, for example, activating image capture by the camera unit and/or activating one or more lights on the modular floodlight system.
