Abstract: A device in a melting or holding furnace for facilitating the charging of the furnace, said device comprising an upwardly directed charging duct ouside of the furnace and in communication with the frunace at the lower portion thereof, the charging duct at its upper end being provided with a device for stirring of the molten material in the charging duct.
