    Abstract: A pump assembly with at least one liquid space (32) in an interior. The liquid space (32) contains a liquid or is configured for receiving a liquid. A sensor (34, 42) is arranged in the liquid space (32), which sensor is configured to detect at least one material property of the liquid located in the liquid space (32). A filter element (44) is arranged in the interior of the liquid space (32) such that the filter element (44) shields the sensor (34, 42) with respect to the surrounding liquid space (32), the filter element (44) being permeable to the liquid. A method for controlling a pump assembly is also provided.

    Abstract: A pump (2) system includes a pump, a sensor (22; 28) arranged in or at a flow path (14), and a concentration measurement device measuring a concentration in liquid inside the flow path (14). The concentration measurement device includes the sensor (22; 28), as a concentration sensor, connected to an evaluation device (26) for evaluating readings of the sensor (22; 28). The evaluation device (26) is connected to a further signal source (20; 24), providing at least one further parameter, and is configured to carry out an evaluation of the reading of the sensor (22; 28), taking into account the further parameter provided by the further signal source (20, 24) to output the concentration in the liquid. A solar heating system includes the pump system.

    Abstract: A pump device has at least one chamber (22) or conduit containing or provided for containing a liquid, a concentration sensor (24) arranged in the chamber (22) or conduit for detecting a concentration of a substance in the liquid and an evaluation unit (28) connected to the sensor (24). The sensor (24) and the evaluation unit (28) are configured for an electrical impedance measurement. The evaluation unit (28) is configured such that a measurement for detecting the concentration is carried out by use of an electrical signal applied to the sensor (24) having at least one frequency corresponding to or above an upper cut-off frequency (f2) of a frequency range showing a constant electrical impedance (Rm). A method is provided for determining the concentration of a substance inside a liquid.

    Abstract: A pump assembly includes an electrical drive motor (2) and an impeller which is connected to the drive motor (2) via a shaft (14). The shaft extends between the drive motor (2) and the impeller, through a seal arrangement with a fluid reservoir (22). A method is provided for detecting a concentration change in a fluid reservoir in the seal arrangement in the pump assembly. A concentration sensor (30) detects a concentration change in the fluid reservoir (22), and a second sensor (32) detects at least one further parameter of the fluid reservoir (22). The sensors are arranged on the fluid reservoir (22). The sensors are connected to an evaluation device (22). The evaluation device (34) is configured to carry out an evaluation of at least one reading of the concentration sensor (30), taking into account at least one reading which is detected by the second sensor (32).
