Abstract: Method and device for network connection download are provided. The method includes: creating, by a terminal device, at least one backup pre-allocated connection; and before a pre-allocated connection is used, performing a corresponding network initialization operation to allow the terminal device, while downloading a file, to select the pre-allocated connection needed for downloading the file directly from the at least one backup pre-allocated connection, thereby obviating the need to re-perform the corresponding network initialization operation.
