Abstract: Methods for use in multiplex amplification and or detection of Trichomonas vaginalis. The multiphase amplification provides fast, quantitative, sensitive detection with lower variability at low analyte concentrations. Described are detection probes, capture probes, amplification oligonucleotides, nucleic acid compositions, probe mixes, methods, and kits useful for amplifying and determining the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis in a test sample.
