Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, including a method for providing content. Search results are identified for a received search query, including identifying a number of top search results. For each of the number of top search results, an associated page is evaluated to identify prominent entities that describe content represented by the page, wherein evaluating includes creating a list of prominent entities from each page. Selection criteria are determined using the list of prominent entities, including ranking the entities in the list of prominent entities based at least in part on importance of a given entity to a respective source page and a ranking of the source page, wherein determining includes determining a weighted list of entities to use as selection criteria. Using the selection criteria, one or more content items are determined to deliver along with the search results.
