Abstract: A water tap body has a mechanical mixing valve which is operable selectively to allow water to flow only from a first water inlet to a water outlet of the mixing valve, to allow water to flow only from a second water inlet to the water outlet, and to allow a mix of water to flow to the water outlet. The water tap body also has a mechanical selector valve which is operable selectively to allow water to flow only from a first water inlet to a water outlet and to allow water to flow only from a second water inlet to the water outlet of the mechanical selector valve. The water outlet of the mechanical mixing valve is in fluid communication with a first tap body outlet. The water outlet of the mechanical selector valve is in fluid communication with a second tap body outlet.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a tap body and a tap is disclosed together with a tap body and a tap made by the process. The present techniques may relate to domestic water taps or faucet. According to the method, first and second hollow body parts are made. The first body part comprises a first pair of apertures. The second body part comprises opposed open ends. The second body part also comprises at least one aperture between the opposed open ends. The method further comprises the steps of inserting the first body part into the at least one aperture on the second body part to make a tap outer body, and aligning the first pair of apertures of the first body part with the opposed open ends to define a channel through the tap outer body.

Abstract: A domestic water tap (1000) is disclosed. The present application relates to a tap and an inner body for routing liquid within a tap, for example, a domestic water tap or faucet. The domestic water tap (1000) comprises an outer body (1010, 1012) and an inner body (100). The inner body (100) is housed within the outer body (1010, 1012). The outer body (1010, 1012) comprises at least one flow channel (1020, 1022) in which water can flow through the tap (1000) without contacting the outer body (1010, 1012). The inner body (100) is made from plastics and comprises at least one non-threaded bore for securely receiving a connector for delivering water from a source into the inner body (100).
