In particular, a three-dimensional design may be formed integral to the cap panel or cap panel insert through a molding process that provides a wide variety of sculpted shapes that can be tailored to meet the specific desires of a family to reflect a particular feature or trait of the deceased. The cast paper cap panel or cap panel insert can be integrated into a dish assembly to provide the decorative aspects of a burial casket lid during a showing.
