摘要： A device for cutting tissue in a human body may include an elongate shaft having a proximal portion and a distal portion, at least one translatable blade disposed along one side of the distal portion of the shaft, and at least one actuator coupled with the at least one translatable blade and extending to the proximal portion of the shaft, wherein the actuator is configured to translate the blade to cut tissue. In various embodiments, various components of the device may have dimensions that facilitate passing a portion of the device into or through a small space and also facilitate and/or enhance the device's tissue cutting abilies.

In some embodiments, one or more procedures other than a balloon dilation procedure may be performed. In some embodiments, a combination of balloon dilation and one or more other procedures may be performed. Various approaches involve employing medical devices to accomplish alternative treatment modalities as well as taking alternative routes to the interventional site.

摘要： A mill for grinding marking particles utilizing a source of a pressurized fluid is provided. The mill includes a grinding chamber having a peripheral wall, a base and a central axis. The mill also includes a nozzle associated with the peripheral wall of the grinding chamber. The nozzle defines an inlet of the nozzle. The inlet is connectable to the source of pressurized fluid. The pressurized fluid propels the marking particles about the periphery of the chamber. The mill further includes a plug cooperable with the nozzle. The plug is in engagement the nozzle when the pressure within the grinding chamber is substantially greater than the pressure at the inlet of the nozzle. The plug is spaced from the nozzle when the pressure within the grinding chamber is substantially less than the pressure at the inlet of the nozzle, so that when the source of pressurized fluid is connected to the inlet, the plug is spaced from the nozzle permitting the entry of the pressurized fluid into the chamber and so that when the source of pressurized fluid is disconnected from the inlet, the plug is engaged with the nozzle preventing marking particles from entering the nozzle and clogging the nozzle.

A method for cleaning a lens of an endoscope inside a patient during a surgical procedure may involve: advancing a cannula into the patient; passing fluid into an expandable member coupled with the cannula to expand the expandable member, wherein some of the fluid passes through the expandable member to an outer surface of the expandable member; and contacting the endoscope lens with the outer surface of the expandable member, located inside the patient, to clean the lens.

摘要： A method of delivering nutrition and one or more pharmaceutical agents to a patient after obesity surgery to enhance the patient's nutritional intake and/or compliance with oral medication(s) may include: providing a food product in an amount suitable for fitting within a stomach of the patient after the obesity surgery, wherein the food product is formulated to include amounts of carbohydrate, fat, protein, vitamins, minerals and electrolytes to satisfy specific nutritional needs of the post-obesity-surgery patient; incorporating into the food product an effective amount of at least one pharmaceutical agent that modulates at least one of appetite, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes, sleep apnea, degenerative joint disease, or depression to produce a supplemented food product; and administering the supplemented food product to the patient after obesity surgery so as to enhance at least one of the patient's nutritional intake or compliance with oral medication.

The processor provides information for this external operation instruction to an external device and continues to execute instructions that do not require the results from this external operation. A further aspect of this data processing system is an interface that is interconnected between the processor and the external device.
