A method and an apparatus for negotiating a master station are disclosed. The method includes receiving from a master station a management frame that carries a master identity; obtaining a maximum time interval between receiving of the management frame and receiving of a next management frame from the master station; and determining, according to a preset policy, a local station itself as a new master station if no more management frame is received after the maximum time interval.
Abstract:
A method, a system and a device for network handover are provided, which are applied to the field of communications technologies. The method includes the following steps that: a terminal first obtains information of a handover manner of handover from a virtual base station to a target base station, and then sends a corresponding message to the virtual base station according to the information of the handover manner, so as to perform network handover, so that in a procedure that the terminal is handed over from a non-WiMAX network to a WiMAX network, the terminal may be directly handed over according to the handover manner supported by the virtual base station. Compared with the conventional art in which handover manners require handover attempts, the adoption of the method for network handover reduces handover time and increases network handover efficiency.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for implementing local routing of traffic, a base station and a system are provided, which relate to the field of communications technologies. The method for implementing local routing of traffic includes: judging whether local routing processing is performed on an uplink traffic flow of a first terminal that serves as a sending end; if it is judged as yes, updating a key of the uplink traffic flow of the first terminal and/or a key of a downlink traffic flow of a second terminal that serves as a receiving end to a public key; forwarding an encrypted data packet of the uplink traffic flow of the first terminal to the second terminal through the downlink traffic flow of the second terminal, where an encryption and decryption operation is not performed on the encrypted data packet before the forwarding or during the forwarding.

The present invention discloses a processing method supporting handover, and communication apparatus, which can reduce an impact on an existing network. The method includes: A handover service function entity receives an identifier of a first AP from an MS, where the first AP is discovered in a WiFi network, and determines, according to the identifier of the first AP, an authenticator entity corresponding to the first AP corresponding to the identifier; establishes a connection with the MS; receives from the MS a probe request message for probing an AP to be associated; and returns to the MS a probe request response message that carries an identifier of an AP to be associated with the MS, so that the MS associates with the AP corresponding to the identifier of the AP to be associated, and accesses the WiFi network through the AP to be associated and the authenticator entity.

A network handover method, a communications system, and relevant devices are provided, so as to implement handover between a Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) network and a Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) network. The method specifically includes the following steps. A user terminal determines a target network access point (AP) and acquires a tunnel destination address. A signaling transmission tunnel between the user terminal and the target network AP is established through a current network according to the tunnel destination address. The user terminal executes a network access operation with the target network AP through the signaling transmission tunnel. The communications system and the relevant devices are further provided. Thus, the handover between the WiFi network and the WiMAX network can be implemented.

A method, a system, and a device for implementing device addition in a Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) Device to Device (D2D) network are provided, which belong to the field of communication. The method includes: receiving, by a first D2D client device, a first add request message forwarded by a D2D master device, in which the first add request message carries an identifier of a new device to be added to the D2D network; receiving a first Personal Identification Number (PIN) code of the new device; and forwarding the received first PIN code to the D2D master device, in which the first PIN code of the new device is used for implementing that the D2D master device performs Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) security configuration of the new device according to the first PIN code. Therefore, in the Wi-Fi D2D network, when a new device is to be added, a PIN code of the new device inputted by a user is received by the D2D client device, and the PIN code is forwarded to the D2D master device, so that the addition of the new device through the recommendation of the D2D client device is implemented, and the work continuity of the user using the D2D master device is ensured.

A redirection method, a redirection device, and a communication system in the field of communication technology are provided. The redirection method includes the following steps: A femto access point (FAP) receives a message, in which the message contains information of a service required by a terminal. After the FAP determines that it does not support the service, the FAP acquires information of base stations supporting the service. The FAP sends the information of the base stations supporting the service to the terminal, so as to enable the terminal to determine a target base station according to the information of the base stations supporting the service. Therefore, the terminal is redirected to the target base station supporting the service required by the terminal, and efficiency of implementing the required service by the terminal is increased.
