摘要： An electrical connector assembly comprises an electrical connector (100) for connecting a sheet-like connection member (5) with a plurality of conductive pads (50) thereon. The electrical connector includes an insulating housing (1) defining a receiving cavity (10) for receiving the FPC and a plurality of conductive terminals (2) retained in the insulating housing to connect the corresponding conductive pads. Each terminal (2) comprises two resilient arms (24,25) located at one side of the receiving cavity (10) and having contact portions at their distal ends to be exposed to the receiving cavity to electrically contact with one single conductive pad (50) which can increase the reliability of the connection between the conductive terminal and the conductive pad of the FPC.

The housing comprises two opposite sidewalls (101, 102), two opposite endwalls (103) respectively located on two ends of the sidewalls and a receiving cavity (10) defined therebetween with an opening. A first and a second retaining wall (16, 17) are located on each endwall (103) to define a groove (12) theretween, wherein the groove (12) defines a first latching portion (13) adjacent to the first retaining wall (16) near to the opening of the receiving cavity, and an entry (106) is defined between the first latching portion (13) and the second retaining wall (17). The slider (3) comprises a base plate (30), a tongue plate (32) insertable to the receiving cavity and two latching arms (33) insertable to the groove (12) through the entry (106).

摘要： An electrical connector comprises an insulative housing (1) defining an receiving cavity (10); a plurality of conductive terminals (2) disposed in the housing and each terminal having a contact beam (21) with a contact portion exposed to the receiving cavity; a pressing member (3) having a pair of latching arms (31) and associated with the housing by the latching arms, the pressing member movable between an opened position and a closed position; and a pair of latching members (4) assembled on the housing and each latching member comprising a resilient arm (40) having a latching portion (401). When the pressing member arrives at the closed position, the latching arms urge corresponding resilient arms to move toward the receiving cavity so as to achieve an engagement between the latching portions and the sheet-like connection member.

The electrical connector further comprises a retaining member (4, 100) defining a latching surface (440, 1001). When the pressing member is shifted into the closed position, the sheet-like connection member is not only blocked by the latching surface but also retained by the pressing member and contact portions of the conductive terminals.
