Abstract: In one implementation, a job dispatch engine can comprise a job engine to retrieve a job from a job store, a preference engine to receive a set of preference information, a validation engine to identify availability of an execution environment associated with the set of preference information, and a dispatch engine to dispatch the job to the execution environment based on the availability. In another implementation, a method for dispatching a job can comprise receiving a job from a job store, interrogating a source for an environment preference, identifying an execution environment based on the environment preference and a policy rule, and validating the execution environment for availability to execute the job.
