Abstract: Zinc stearate, other hydrophobic metal salts of organic fatty acids, and, in some instances, the acids themselves, are coated on a substrate such as paper to provide electrographic media of unusually low cost and resistance to high humidity. The coating materials can be selected for application in powder or extruded form, from a water-compatible solvent, or from an organic solvent.
