Abstract: In a flush packet sending method, a requesting component in a computing device sends a flush packet to a set of caches in a broadcast manner, and receives flush completion packets from the caches in the set of caches. Physical address information carried in the flush packet indicates that multiple cache lines are to be flushed. After receiving the flush packet, a cache in the set of caches identifies a cache line that is in the multiple cache lines to be flushed and is within a management scope of the cache, and flushes the identified cache line. The cache then sends a flush completion packet to the processor core.
