Abstract: This application provides example data processing methods and systems. One example data processing method includes obtaining a first metadata stream of a first file system, where the first metadata stream is a streaming structure and includes multiple records, and each of the multiple records includes an identifier of a node in the first file system, an identifier of a parent node of the node, and an attribute of the node. A hierarchy of multiple nodes in the first file system is determined based on the first metadata stream.
