Abstract: Example methods and apparatus for locating a root cause alarm are described. One example method includes obtaining an alarm correlation rule of a telecommunications network. The alarm correlation rule is split to obtain candidate root cause rules. Time sequence information of the candidate root cause rules are determined based on historical alarm data of the telecommunications network.
