Abstract: An antenna arrangement for a communication device comprises a top conductive patch comprising at least a first coupling point and a second coupling point coupled to one or more feed circuits carrying a radio frequency (RF) signal to or from the top conductive patch. The RF signal has a first phase in the first coupling point and a second phase in the second coupling point. A first slot extends in the conductive patch between the first coupling point and the second coupling point. The antenna arrangement according enables a desired current distribution to be realized in the antenna in a controlled and systematic manner. A communication device includes such an antenna arrangement.

A dielectric volume is partially enclosed by the first conductive structure, the second conductive structure, and the third conductive structure, and the dielectric volume comprises the dielectric slot.

Abstract: An antenna assembly, an apparatus having the antenna assembly, and a method of manufacturing the antenna assembly are disclosed. Antenna performance in, e.g., mobile devices is improved via an antenna assembly which allows wide-angle beam scanning across a wide frequency bandwidth. Wide beam coverage may in turn contribute to improving multi-surface spherical beam coverage, such as in broadside direction and endfire direction, and to reducing the amount of needed antenna modules. A tightly-coupled dipole array exhibits wide operating frequency bandwidth characteristics.

Abstract: An antenna system for a mobile device includes a first electrically conductive member having a plurality of segments including at least a first corner segment and a central segment that is disposed adjacent to the first corner segment. A dielectric material is disposed in a gap between the first corner segment and the central segment. A second electrically conductive member is disposed within the mobile device. A first end of the second electrically conductive member is connected to the first corner segment. A portion of the second electrically conductive member away from the first end is electrically connected to a first feeding portion. The central segment is connected to a second feeding portion.

Abstract: A mobile terminal includes a display, a side frame, a back cover and an antenna. The antenna includes a conductive support and a feeding part. The conductive support includes a first portion and a third portion disposed opposite to each other, and a second portion and a fourth portion disposed opposite to each other. The four portions are made of conductive materials and jointly enclose a cavity. The second portion is disposed on an inner side of the display. The third portion is a part of the side frame. The fourth portion is located on an outer side or an inner side of the back cover, or is a part of the back cover. A gap is disposed between the fourth portion and the first portion, or is disposed in the fourth portion, and the antenna can radiate electromagnetic wave signal through the cavity and the gap.
