Abstract: This application provides a video transmission method and an electronic device. One example method includes: The encoder generates a video frame, where the video frame includes a plurality of image blocks, and each of the plurality of image blocks is sent within a respective specified period; and the encoder sends a target frame to a decoder if a first image block in the plurality of image blocks is not completely sent at an end moment of a corresponding specified period, where the target frame is used to request feedback information from the decoder.
