One example method includes obtaining, by a first network device, a plurality of routes arriving at a same prefixOne or more routes for guiding packet forwarding are selected by the first network device based on trustworthiness of each route of the plurality of routes, where the trustworthiness of each route identifies a trustworthiness degree of the corresponding route.
