Abstract: An optical waveguide device, an optical chip, and a communication device are provided. The optical waveguide device includes a substrate, a target structure, and an electro-optic crystal structure. The target structure includes an insulation layer and a first optical waveguide. A bonding region of the insulation layer includes a first groove that receives the first optical waveguide, and a surface of the first optical waveguide positioned away from the substrate is flush with a surface of the bonding region that is positioned away from the substrate. The electro-optic crystal structure is bonded to a side of the target structure positioned away from the substrate. This application can resolve a problem that the optical waveguide device has low light modulation efficiency.

Abstract: An image sensor and an electronic device are disclosed. The image sensor includes a cover, a first metasurface layer, and a detection layer, and the first metasurface layer is located between the cover and the detection layer. The first metasurface layer is configured to receive incident light, the incident light includes incident rays at a plurality of incident angles, the first metasurface layer includes a plurality of light splitting units, different light splitting units correspondingly receive incident rays from different incident angles, the plurality of light splitting units include light splitting units with different patterns, the splitting units separately split corresponding incident rays into light of a plurality of colors by using the different patterns. The detection layer is configured to: receive light of a plurality of colors split by the plurality of light splitting units, and convert the plurality of types of received light into electrical signals.

Abstract: This application relates to the field of electro-optic materials, and provides a chromophore and a method for preparing the chromophore, and an organic electro-optic material and application of the organic electro-optic material. The chromophore includes a conjugated bridge, and an acceptor and a donor respectively connected to two ends of the conjugated bridge via chemical bonds. The acceptor is 2-dicyanomethylidene-3-cyano-4-methyl-5,5-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-2,5-dihydrofuran. The chromophore provided in this application has a high β value and good chemical and thermal stability.

Abstract: A phase shifter includes a substrate, an optical waveguide, electrodes, and transition structures. The optical waveguide is disposed on the substrate. The electrodes are respectively disposed on two sides of the optical waveguide and perpendicular to an extension direction of the optical waveguide. The transition structure is located between the optical waveguide and the electrode. A refractive index of an end of the substrate that is close to the optical waveguide is less than a refractive index of the optical waveguide, and dielectric constants of the transition structures are greater than a dielectric constant of the optical waveguide. The dielectric constants of the transition structures are greater than the dielectric constant of the optical waveguide.

Abstract: An electro-optic modulator, a manufacturing method thereof, and an optical communication system are provided. The electro-optic modulator includes a substrate and a dielectric layer located on a side of the substrate. An organic waveguide and electrodes on two sides of the organic waveguide are disposed in the dielectric layer. A refractive index of the organic waveguide is greater than a refractive index of the dielectric layer. A material of the organic waveguide is an organic material having electro-optic effect. A dielectric waveguide is disposed in the organic waveguide. The dielectric waveguide and the organic waveguide form a composite waveguide. A refractive index of the dielectric waveguide is greater than the refractive index of the organic waveguide.
