    Abstract: A method and system for unlocking a mobile phone screen includes, in a locked state, the mobile phone receives a user instruction, lights up a mobile phone screen, and enters an unlocking interface. In a case that a touching event has been detected within a per-determined time period, touching region information, corresponding to the touching event, is obtained and a touching area is calculated based on the touching region information. The touching area is compared with a per-determined threshold and, when the touching area is larger than the pre-determined threshold, the touching event is determined to meet a requirement for unlocking, and the mobile phone is controlled to unlock the mobile phone screen. Otherwise, unlocking failure information is returned to the user. Thereby, mobile phone screen unlocking is achieved by way of a large area touching of a mobile phone screen.

    Abstract: A method and system for turning off an alarm of a mobile terminal, by presetting an area threshold value, includes automatically turning on the mobile terminal's screen when the alarm of the mobile terminal sets off and detecting if a touch signal is inputted. When a touch signal is inputted, calculating an area of a valid touch region in which a user touches the touchscreen and comparing the calculated area of the valid touch region with the area threshold value. If the area of the valid touch region is greater than or equal to the area threshold value, controlling the mobile terminal to turn off the alarm. If the area of the valid touch region is smaller than the area threshold value, the alarm of the mobile terminal keeps ringing. Thereby, inconvenient operation associated with turning off a ringing alarm of a mobile terminal according to the prior art is eliminated.
