Abstract: The present technology relates to the modification of the surface of an electrode comprising a thin layer, for example of 10 microns or less, of an inorganic compound (such as a ceramic) in a solid polymer, the inorganic compound being present in the thin layer at a concentration between about 40% and about 90% by weight. Also described are electrodes comprising the modified film, a component comprising the electrode and a solid electrolyte, and the electrochemical cells and accumulators comprising same.
