摘要： A filter cartridge is provided that is designed to actuate a valve that controls fluid flow into an outlet for discharging filtered fluid. The valve receives a ball at a first position which is axially movable between the first position and a second position. If a filter cartridge is not installed or an inappropriately designed filter cartridge is installed, the ball is moved from the first position to the second position to seal an outlet opening of the outlet. If the described filter cartridge is installed, the ball is retained at the first position by a holding member and the valve allows filtered fluid flow into the outlet opening.
