摘要： A sealing element having a substantially right-angled exterior corner is formed from a preform. The preform is formed from a strip of sealing material including a first longitudinal side surface having a projection projecting therefrom and an oppositely arranged second longitudinal side surface having a notch formed therein. The notch is aligned with the projection with respect to the longitudinal direction of the strip. A first segment of the strip is formed to a first side of the projection and a second segment of the strip is formed to a second side of the projection. The projection forms the substantially right-angled exterior corner of the sealing element following a bending of the first segment perpendicular to the second segment.
