    摘要: A window glass antenna has a receiving antenna pattern and a loop-shaped guard pattern of an electrically conductive material disposed on a sheet of window glass around the receiving antenna pattern. The guard pattern is positioned on the sheet of window glass for intensive electromagnetic and electrostatic coupling between the guard pattern and an electric conductor disposed around the sheet of window glass. The guard pattern and the electric conductor are spaced from each other by a distance of 2 mm or less. The guard pattern has a width of 1 mm or more.

    摘要: A pair of antenna conductors are formed on upper and lower blank portions outside an area where defogging heater wires are attached on a window glass of a motor vehicle. One of the antenna conductors is RF-coupled with the defogging heater wires and a feed terminal thereof is located at a lateral side of the glass. The other antenna conductor has a feed terminal located at another lateral side of the glass. A pair of reception signals complement with each other in directivity due to asymmetric characteristic of the antenna conductors and are used in a diversity reception system for obtaining a nondirectional reception characteristic.

    摘要: A pair of antenna elements are mounted on a glass of a rear quarter window of a vehicle. Feed points of these elements are provided at a corner portion of the window. One antenna element extends clockwise about the center of the window glass and the other antenna element extends counterclockwise thereabout from their corresponding feed points. The characteristics of both antenna elements significantly differ and complement each other. It is convenient for a diversity reception system. An auxiliary element branches from one antenna element to extend along the other antenna element. The auxiliary element compensates for impedance characteristics of the antenna elements to tune up reception characteristics thereof.

    摘要: A glass window antenna for use in a motor vehicle provides satisfactory antenna characteristics while making best use of the space of a glass window with a heating conductor as the main antenna element which is heated by a pair of power supply lines through choke coils. In a preferred embodiment, a capacitor is connected across the power supply lines at a position between the choke coils and the heating conductor to minimize the loss or leakage of radio signals from the heating conductor through the choke coils. A symmetrical pair of wires coupled with each other is formed on the glass window and connected to ends of the heating conductor to improve a radio wave reception gain.

A coupling element is provided midway along said antenna element for coupling between two segmented elements with phase adjustment between reception signals thereof in a specific frequency range. The coupling element connects the two segmented elements in lower frequency range, and disconnects the two elements in higher frequency range. The length of the antenna element is automatically corrected in respective low and high frequency ranges so as to cover a wide range.
