Abstract: An example method for communicating radio frequency (RF) settings to a wireless networking device to adaptively configure the wireless networking device in events of weather changes is presented. A network device may receive a weather metric corresponding to a wireless networking device and identify a target RF setting for the wireless networking device corresponding to the weather metric. Further, the network device may transmit the target RF setting to the wireless networking device to cause the wireless networking device to operate with the target RF setting thereby enhancing the performance of the wireless networking device.
