Abstract: Techniques for establishing a wireless connection in a computing device are described. In an example, the computing device includes an integrated wireless system having multiple wireless communication modules, where the multiple wireless modules include a first wireless communication module housed outside a component housing of the computing device and a second wireless communication module housed within the component housing. In operation, switching may be performed between the first wireless communication module and the second wireless communication module based on their respective modulation and coding scheme (MCS) indexes to select a wireless communication module for establishment of the wireless connection.
