摘要: An ink supply system which includes an ink jet head for discharging ink and an ink tank retaining ink to be supplied to the ink jet head through a passage. A negative pressure generating container is provided along the passage, and generates negative pressure by a restoring force at the time of being deformed. With the ink supply system thus structured, it becomes possible to perform stable recording, because the fluctuation of flow resistance due to the fluctuation of discharge amount is made smaller, and also, there is almost no fluctuation of pressure along the carriage operation. Also, the retaining amount of ink becomes suitably greater for the performance of higher speed printing, and the replacement of ink tanks is possible, while ink still remains in the negative pressure generating container, hence making it possible to essentially prevent a complete ink depletion.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a fiber aggregate formed by fiber having reforming surface comprises the steps of providing a fiber surface having thermoplastic resin at least on the surface layer thereof with a hydrophilic processing liquid containing polymer having a first portion with more hydrophilic group than the surface, and a second portion having interfacial energy different from that of the hydrophilic group, and interfacial energy substantially equal to the surface energy of the fiber; orientating the second portion toward the fiber surface, while orientating polymer to the side different from the surface of the first group; and forming a fiber absorber by heating the fiber having the reformed surface in the step of orientating polymer to thermally bond the contact points of fibers themselves. With this method of manufacture, it becomes possible to enhance the uniform property of the fiber aggregate still more, which is formed subsequent to making the property of such fiber aggregate uniform per unit of single fiber or small aggregate existing in any one of stages before the formation thereof.

摘要: A container of the present invention for use of ink jet recording liquid is arranged to store recording liquid to be supplied to an ink jet recording head. This recording liquid container comprises the container main body, and an absorber holding recording liquid contained in the interior of the container main body, and the absorber is constituted by the fiber having its elongation percentage (Japanese Industrial Standard JIS-L1015) of 250% or less. With the elongation percentage of the fibrous absorber manufactured by the thermal processing which is defined within a specific range, it becomes possible to suppress the dimensional changes before and after the execution of the thermal processing, as well as to make the difference smaller between the higher and lower densities on the surface layer and the central portion of the fibrous absorber, respectively, hence providing a highly uniform absorber.

摘要: There is disclosed a liquid supply system comprises a negative pressure generating member containing chamber provided with a liquid supply portion for supply liquid to the outside and an atmosphere connecting portion for connecting with atmosphere for containing a negative pressure generating member holding the liquid inside, a liquid containing chamber connected to the negative pressure generating member containing chamber, forming a sealed space except the connection, and having a liquid containing portion which can generate a negative pressure by deformation, and liquid residual amount detecting means for detecting a liquid level position of the liquid in the liquid containing portion to detect a liquid residual amount in the liquid containing portion. Since the liquid residual amount can be known, a user can know the time to exchange the liquid containing chamber. Moreover, by detecting the liquid state in the liquid containing portion, more stable liquid supply operation can be realized.

摘要: A liquid container comprises an inner wall that forms the liquid containing portion to contain liquid therein; an outer wall that forms the container to contain the liquid containing portion therein; and a liquid supply portion for supplying liquid from the liquid containing portion to the outside. Then, the inner wall is arranged to be a member to generate negative pressure in the liquid containing portion by being deformed following the leading-out of the liquid, and also, formed by the material having an elastic modulus change of 25% or less against the temperature change of use environment. With the liquid container thus structured, it is possible to implement the stable supply of liquid by stabilizing the characteristic of negative pressure in the liquid containing portion thereof irrespective of the temperature changes of use environments.
