Abstract:
A liquid cooling type cathode-ray tube for a projector comprising a coupler (43) mounted on the front surface (42a) of a cathode-ray tube body (42), which coupler serves as a cooling liquid sealing member and which is sealed with a cooling liquid (46) therein, the coupler (43) having a liquid fill hole (53) and a diaphragm (51) as a pressure regulating valve on the front surface thereof, and all of the mounting bores provided through the coupler being formed in the tubular axis direction of the cathode-ray tube body (42).
Abstract:
There can be avoided a contrast degradation caused by stray light generated from a liquid-cooling type cathode-ray tube apparatus incorporated in a projection type television apparatus. Stray light (7) emitted from a flange (peripheral edge) (11a) of a lens (11) out of a coupler (10) and the lens (11) disposed on the front face of a CRT 1 of a liquid-cooling type cathode-ray tube apparatus 5 is shield by light shielding members (ribs) (20), (20a) disposed in the coupler (10) and/or a lens plate (13).
Abstract:
A projection type display apparatus employing a liquid-cooled cathode-ray tube apparatus that copes with the leakage of cooling liquid. The projection type display apparatus employs a liquid-cooled cathode-ray tube apparatus provided with a liquid-cooling unit in which cooling liquid to cool the front panel of a cathode-ray tube is sealed. A tray is provided on the lower side of the liquid-cooling unit in the liquid-cooled cathode-ray tube apparatus to prevent the leaked cooling liquid from dripping onto a circuit board, a high-voltage wiring, and the like.
Abstract:
Apparatus for sealing a chamber having a liquid coolant used for dissipating heat generated by a CRT. The apparatus includes a chassis for housing the CRT, wherein the chassis includes a tapered fill port having an inner wall. In particular, the fill pole is in fluid communication with the chamber and is used for introducing liquid coolant into the chamber. A sealing element is then positioned in the fill port. The sealing element is fabricated from a material having resilient properties and is sized larger than the fill port such that a press fit is formed wherein said sealing element is urged against said inner wall to form a seal.
Abstract:
In a liquid cooling type cathode-ray tube including a cathode-ray tube assembly (1), a coupler (3) provided in the front surface side of the cathode-ray tube assembly (1) to seal a coolant (9), and fixing members (6) for fixing the coupler (3) to the cathode-ray tube assembly (1), engagement pins (14A), (14B) are fitted into and fixed into a pair of as cast holes (11A), (11B) defined on the coupler (3) or the fixing members (6), and an earth wire (16) which directly closely contacts with an outer conductive film (2) to apply an earth potential to the outer conductive film (2) is extended between a pair of engagement pins (14A) and (14B) through a spring (17). Thus, the earth potential can be applied to the outer conductive film (2) of the liquid cooling type cathode-ray tube with a high reliability and a satisfactory working property.
