Abstract: Provided are an intraocular lens and a technique associated therewith, wherein an average value (exceeding 0 D) of base difference values within a first region from a lens center O to a position r1 of a first boundary is greater than 5 times an average value (exceeding 0 D) of base difference values within the first region from a lens center O of a virtual spherical lens having a base power at the lens center O to the position r1, a second region has a power resulting from adding one or more positive constant powers to a reference aspheric power, in a third region, the power is reduced so as to provide a negative longitudinal spherical aberration that cancels at least part of a positive longitudinal spherical aberration caused by a cornea, and a second step value is greater than a first step value.
