Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for controlling a user equipment. The method includes: obtaining a first static picture of the user equipment; obtaining, according to the first static picture, feature information of the first static picture; obtaining an equipment identity of the user equipment according to the feature information; and controlling the user equipment according to the equipment identity. The apparatus includes a first obtaining module, a second obtaining module, a third obtaining module and a control module. According to the method and apparatus in embodiments of the present invention, a static picture of the user equipment is obtained, and the equipment identity of the user equipment is obtained according to the static picture, so that the user equipment can be controlled according to the equipment identity, and a user can quickly, accurately and intuitively determine the user equipment to be controlled, thereby improving user experience.
