Abstract: A method for screen sharing, a related device, and a communications system are provided. The method for screen sharing includes: initiating, by a first mobile terminal, a screen sharing service; receiving, by the first mobile terminal by using a wireless local area network, a screen sharing service access request that is corresponding to the screen sharing service and from N second mobile terminal(s), where both the first mobile terminal and the N second mobile terminal(s) are located in the wireless local area network, and N is a positive integer; and when the N second mobile terminal(s) are allowed to access the screen sharing service, encoding, by the first mobile terminal, content displayed on a first area in a screen of the first mobile terminal into a first video stream, and sending the first video stream to the N second mobile terminal(s) by using the wireless local area network.
