    Abstract: A forwarding path selection method and device are disclosed. If a data packet to be sent to a target device is a start packet of a flowlet in which the data packet is located, a sender device selects a low-load path from a plurality of paths to forward the data packet, and sets a forwarding decision of a flow in which the data packet is located to the selected path, where load of each path is load of traffic received by a corresponding intermediate device from the sender device or load of traffic sent by a corresponding intermediate device to the target device, whichever is higher. Flowlet-based load balancing can be implemented only by providing related functions on one type of device.

The first network device determines an egress port from a preset routing table based on the location information in the specific local MAC address of the second endpoint device, and sends the service packet through the egress port, where the routing table includes the location information and the egress port corresponding to the location information.

    Abstract: Signal sending method and apparatus. The signal sending method includes: sending, by a first apparatus, an optical signal to a second apparatus in a slot before a first wavelength slot; sending, by the first apparatus, a first optical signal to the second apparatus in the first wavelength slot; and sending, by the first apparatus, an optical signal to a second apparatus in the slot after the first wavelength slot. A wavelength of the first optical signal is a first wavelength. The first optical signal sent by the first apparatus in one first wavelength slot is used to carry first wavelength data on one symbol. Wavelengths of the optical signals sent by the first apparatus in the slots before and after the first wavelength slot are wavelengths other than the first wavelength.
