Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing a traffic information service to a vehicle. Traffic information is broadcast through an external network to the vehicle, wherein the traffic information is based on a first map. Data within the broadcasted traffic information and based on a the first map is compared to a second map provided in a vehicle navigation unit, wherein the second map is different than the first map. A traffic information service is provided to the vehicle navigation unit, wherein the vehicle navigation unit is configured for displaying the traffic information with the second map.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for providing a graphical user interface (GUI) provide a GUI based on a shelf region that allows one or more graphical objects to be selected or executed on the same display level as one or more graphical objects that are displayed on a background screen. The apparatus includes a first region configured to display one or more graphical objects; a second region configured to be generated by a user setting as an M×N region; and a control unit configured to add one or more of the graphical objects to the second region and to, in response to the number of graphical objects added to the second region being N or greater, display the added graphical objects so that the added graphical objects can be selected, executed, or navigated by a flick or touch gesture that is made in the second region.
Abstract:
A method for performing a communication using a virtual object includes displaying a dynamic virtual object on a display screen; identifying the dynamic virtual object in response to a selection input; determining a target to which the identified dynamic virtual object is to be transmitted; and performing a communication using the identified dynamic virtual object. A terminal to communicate using a virtual object includes a virtual object providing unit to provide a dynamic virtual object on a display screen; a virtual object managing unit to store the dynamic virtual object and target information of a target corresponding to the dynamic virtual object; a virtual object selection unit to select the dynamic virtual object in response to a selection input; and a channel establishing unit to establish a communication channel with the target using the dynamic virtual object.
