Abstract: A device for interposing a variable resistance and variable capacitance function in a fluid flow line wherein the resistance and capacitance are reciprocal functions of one another. The device comprises a closed cylinder having a piston rod and an adjustable piston within the cylinder defining a capacitive cavity therein and including metering or valve means comprising mating threads between the piston rod and the piston for adjustment of the resistance to fluidic flow through the threads and in reverse function to the capacitance in the device.
