摘要： Vanadium values in the form of vanadium pentoxide in metal complexes are reduced to a metallic vanadium-based alloy suitable for use as a steel additive at a temperature of about 1300*C. in an atmosphere comprising nitrogen and hydrogen or ammonia at ambient pressures. Carbon is employed as a reducing agent and the product typically will be a vanadium nitride containing minor quantities of iron.
