Abstract: At least one product chosen from acids and alcohols is produced by a microbial fermentation process comprising: providing a gaseous substrate and a liquid medium to a microorganism, wherein the liquid medium comprises lactic acid and/or salts thereof, and wherein the gaseous substrate comprises at least one carbon source chosen from CO and CO2, and allowing the microorganism to produce at least one product chosen from acids and alcohols.

Abstract: A method for increasing the yield of microalgae and the yield of a product produced by the microalgae is provided. The method includes performing a change procedure on CAM1 gene and/or calmodulin 1 encoded by the CAM1 gene in a microalga, such that a change occurs in a nucleotide and/or the nucleotide sequence of the CAM1 gene and/or an amino acid and/or the amino acid sequence of the calmodulin 1 encoded by the CAM1 gene in the microalga to obtain an altered microalga. The altered microalga has an altered CAM1 gene and/or an altered calmodulin 1. The altered microalga has a higher growth rate and a higher product production rate and/or yield than an unaltered microalga.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a new mutant of Bacillus thuringiensis which is deposited under Accession number DSM 32419. The present disclosure also provides a method for manufacturing a growth promoter for promoting microalgal cell growth, including: (a) inoculating a mutant of Bacillus thuringiensis into a culturing medium to obtain a bacterial suspension, wherein the mutant of Bacillus thuringiensis is deposited under Accession number DSM 32419; (b) culturing the mutant of Bacillus thuringiensis in the bacterial suspension at least to a stationary phase to obtain a cultured medium of the mutant of Bacillus thuringiensis; and (c) performing a vacuum heating procedure on the cultured medium of the mutant of Bacillus thuringiensis to obtain the growth promoter for promoting microalgal cell growth, wherein the growth promoter for promoting microalgal cell growth contains active substances for promoting microalgal cell growth.
