Abstract: A display panel is disclosed, which comprises: a substrate; a gate electrode disposed on the substrate; a gate insulation layer disposed on the substrate and the gate electrode; an active layer disposed on the gate insulation layer and over the gate electrode; a source electrode and a drain electrode disposed on the active layer; a first protection layer disposed on at least one of the source electrode and the drain electrode; and a metal oxide layer formed on a sidewall of the at least one of the source electrode and the drain electrode.
