Abstract: Techniques for enabling intelligent functionalities for non-intelligent devices utilizing an intelligent kernel architecture are described. In some embodiments, a device obtains, responsive to being physically coupled with a second device via a physical interface, a device driver for the second device. The first device and the second device are detachable. The device receives one or more commands from a user to configure the second device to perform one or more actions. The device causes, over the physical interface using the device driver, the second device to perform the one or more actions according to the received command.
