摘要: A data imprinting device for a camera has a light source, a diaphragm member, and an optical member mounted on support structures integrally formed in a body of the camera. Another embodiment of the invention includes first and second optical members for imprinting data at two respective locations, upon a film, corresponding to full size and panorama size modes of operation. A shutter slides to obstruct emergent light from one of the first and second optical member thus disabling it from imprinting. The first and second optical members are integrally formed in a bracket structure which is mounted in a body of the camera. Embodiments includes the first and second optical members having emergent planes equidistant from the film. The first and second optical elements have incident planes either offset in a direction parallel with the film or perpendicular to it. Similar exposure characteristic at the two respective locations are maintained by controlling numerical apertures and transmittances of the first and second optical members.

摘要: An optical piece for a data imprinting device for a camera having beam incident and beam emerging areas. Beam incident and beam emerging areas have an effective aperture for passing a main beam of light and a peripheral beam refracting surface around and defining the effective aperture. This structure eliminates ghosts or flares generated by light rays passing through the peripheral portion of the optical piece. The peripheral beam refracting surface is equivalent to the surface of a lens having a negative index of refraction or one of the bilateral plane surfaces of a triangular prism with its apex pointing toward the optical axis of the optical piece. The lens geometry is controlled by a set of four inequalities. The effective aperture may use convex, planar or concave shapes.

摘要: A vibration correction system for a camera using a correcting lens driven by a reduction gear train attached to a motor. Image deflection, originating from vibration and the like of the camera, is prevented by shifting the correcting lens. A movement detector, to detect the amount of movement of the correcting lens, is arranged near the drive shaft of the motor or near the first couple of gears of the reduction gear train. After the correcting lens has been driven, the connecting lens is reset to a predetermined standard position, based on the output of the movement detector. By placing the movement detector on or near the drive shaft, a high resolving power is obtained. Accordingly, the correcting lens can be shifted with fine precise movements, and accurate correction of image deflection becomes possible.

摘要: A camera having a retractable lens barrel which can be fully received in the camera body when the camera is not in use, such that the portion of the lens barrel closest to the back of the camera, i.e., nearest the image plane, stops forward of the portion of the electric supply battery extending furthest from the side wall of the camera body to which the electric supply battery is adjacent. As a result, the height of the camera can be made smaller. Moreover, a mounting board, with a release switch formed thereon and activated by a release button operated by a user, is located above a motor which drives the lens barrel, such that the load on the mounting board, during the activation of the release switch by pressure of the release button, is supported by the motor, so that it is not necessary to dispose a separate support member in the camera body, and the size of the camera can be made smaller.

摘要: An apparatus to detect the amount and direction of rotary motion for use in a vibration compensation system in an optical camera. An indicator disk is provided around the output shaft of a motor which actuates a compensation lens to compensate for vibrations to the camera. The periphery of the indicator disk is provided with a series of holes. A pair of photodetectors, are arranged on the periphery of the disk so as to detect the holes passing thereunder. The two photodetectors are separated by a distance equal to 3/4 of the distance between two holes. By comparing the pattern of signals emitted by the photodetectors the direction of rotation of the indicator disk can be determined. Further, the pulses in the output of either photodetector can be counted to determine the amount of movement. The actual direction and amount of movement as calculated is provided to a vibration compensation circuit as feedback for use in controlling the compensation lens.

摘要: A camera with a data imprinting device has a plurality of in-line LEDs producing light focused by an optical system upon a photographic film at a first and a second position, corresponding to a full size format and a panorama size format, respectively. The focused light imprints data images upon the film at the first position are larger than data images imprinted at the second position. The optical system has first and second prisms, with integrated lenses, for reflecting and focusing the light upon the film at the first and second positions, respectively. A shutter plate is selectively positioned over apertures through which the light is focused, thus blocking the light and allowing only a selected imprint to be made upon the film. A vertical pattern of the data image is created by a controller selectively illuminating the in-line LEDs while a horizontal pattern is produced by the controller illuminating the LEDs in coordination with the movement of the film past the apertures. The controller actuates a motor for advancing the film and has a sensor for detecting film travel. A first embodiment has the first prism positioned further from the film than the second prism, which is positioned further from the LEDs than the first prism, such that reflected light from the first prism has a path intersecting that of incident light of the second prism. A second embodiment has the prisms offset from each other in the plane of the film such that light paths do not intersect. The first embodiment has a narrower width than the second embodiment while the second embodiment has a shallower depth than the first embodiment.
