Abstract: A filtering method in which the filtration of impurity particles from a liquid is performed by causing the liquid and impurity particles contained therein to flow along a path having a preselected angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of a filter medium whereby impurity particles having grain sizes larger than the effective diameter of the pores of the filter medium are not able to pass through the pores, the intended degree of purification of the liquid thereby being achieved.
