摘要： Systems and methods are disclosed for testing the functionality of a synchronous optical network having a data communication channel therein. The system includes a testing device connected to a network node within the synchronous optical network and a data communication channel loop back plug connected to the testing device for returning to the synchronous optical network, any signals within the data communication channel received at the testing device. A method is also disclosed for testing a synchronous optical network having a data communication channel therein.
