摘要： A method for estimating a fracture aperture in a formation penetrated by a well includes obtaining at least one of a vertical resistivity (Rv) and a horizontal resistivity (Rh) of the formation; obtaining a mud resistivity (Rmud) or a matrix resistivity (Rmatrix); and estimating the fracture aperture. The estimating of the fracture aperture may be performed by solving the following two equations: Rv=Vhf·Rm+(1−Vhf)·Rmatrix and 1/Rh=Vhf·1/Rmud+(1−Vhf)·1/Rmatrix, wherein Vhf is the fracture aperture.
