The present invention provides a steam generator including a water chamber for holding water actually, the water chamber having a heater mounted thereto for heating the water, and a steam chamber for holding steam generated as the water is heated actually, wherein the water chamber has a vertical direction length (a vertical length) relatively greater than a horizontal direction length (a horizontal length).

摘要： A dryer or a washing machine includes a cabinet which forms an exterior of the dryer or the washing machine. A drum is rotatably mounted in the cabinet and a steam generator is provided outside the drum to supply steam to the drum, where the steam generator includes a water chamber to hold water, the water chamber having a heater mounted thereto for heating the water. The steam chamber is provided above the water chamber to hold steam generated as the water is heated, where the steam chamber has a steam discharge opening for discharging the steam, where the steam discharge opening is provided with a separator for isolating a steam discharge area from other areas and where the water chamber has a vertical direction length relatively greater than a horizontal direction length.

摘要： A steam generator includes a water chamber for holding water, the water chamber having a heater mounted thereto for heating the water, a steam chamber for holding steam generated as the water is heated, a water supply line for supplying the water to the water chamber, and a steam discharge line for discharging steam from the steam chamber, wherein the water chamber has a vertical direction length relatively greater than a horizontal direction length and the steam chamber has a horizontal direction length relatively greater than the horizontal length of the water chamber. A dryer or washing machine may include the steam generator described herein.

摘要： A filter assembly of a washer is disclosed, by which laundry can be prevented from being damaged by friction with the filter assembly in a manner of efficiently filtering off particles contained in water in the course of washing the laundry. In a washer including an inner wall having an outlet and a circulation passage provided between the inner wall and a wash tub to enable water to circulate to the outlet from a bottom of the wash tub, the present invention includes a closed-type filter unit filtering off particles from the water discharged from the outlet, a cap having an injection hole to enable the water through the closed-type filter unit to be injected into the wash tub, and a locking means for fixing the closed-type filter unit and the cap to the inner wall, the locking means provided between the cap and the closed-type filter unit.

The laundry treating apparatus includes an outer case defining an appearance of the laundry treating apparatus, a washing tub arranged in the outer case, to receive laundry, a top lid mounted to a top of the outer case such that the top lid is openable and closeable, and an air flow assembly mounted to the top lid, to stepwise adjust a size of a passage communicating an interior of the outer case and an exterior of the outer case. The laundry treating apparatus can prevent moisture from staying in the interior of the laundry treating apparatus for a prolonged period of time, thereby preventing a failure of the laundry treating apparatus, generation of an offensive odor and propagation of bacteria in the interior of the laundry treating apparatus.
