    Abstract: A projectile launching device includes self-timing without cam lean. The projectile launching device may include a rail, a riser, two energy storing components, (such as two limbs), two cams, a launch string, and at least one cable. The ends of the launch string are attached to the two cams. Opposing ends of first and second cables may be coupled to the rail or riser. A mid-portion of the first and second cables are slideably engaged with the first and second cams, respectively. Alternatively, a single cable may replace the first and second cables. The two cams are preferably built as mirror images of each other at a centerline of the rail. The two cams include a launch string track, having identical, but mirrored, upper and lower cable tracks.

    Abstract: A crossbow with built in electric cocking preferably includes a motor, a drive device, a pair of carriage drive shafts and a pair of string carriages. The motor preferably includes a gearbox with an output shaft. The drive device includes a support frame and a drive shaft rotatably retained in the support frame. A drive gear is retained on one end of the drive shaft. An opposing end of the drive shaft is connected the output shaft. First and second carriage drive shafts each include a threaded drive shaft and a carriage drive gear retained on one end of the threaded drive shaft. The drive gear drives the carriage drive gear. First and second string carriages each include a string catch and a threaded tap. The threaded tap is sized to threadably receive the threaded drive shaft.

    Abstract: An improved crossbow lock mechanism assembly includes a trigger housing, a seer lever, a seer lock lever, a latch, trigger, a spring, a detent ball, and a safety slide bar having one ball detent. Selectively positioning the safety slide bar in a safe position, the spring forces the detent ball into a safety detent notch, which holds the safety bar in safety position, thus preventing movement of the seer lever. Selectively positioning the safety slide bar in a fire position results in the spring creating friction between the ball and safety bar, thus holding safety bar in place and allowing movement of the seer lever. A second embodiment uses a pivoting safety lock lever. The engagement of the seer lever with the string latch is indirect, because of a roller pin spaced therebetween. A third embodiment includes a safety slide bar, which makes indirect contact with the seer lever.
