    摘要: A method and system for sealing a gap between a bucket dovetail and a rotor is provided. The dovetail seal includes a first end portion extending from a first extent of the first end portion a predetermined distance along a length of the dovetail seal, a second end portion extending from a first extent of the second end portion a predetermined distance along a length of the dovetail seal towards the first end portion, and a body extending between the first and second end portions. The body includes a U-shaped bend complementary to a sealing groove in a dovetail of a turbine blade. The first end portion includes a converging flared cross-section from the first extent of the first end portion toward the second end portion and the second end portion includes a converging flared cross-section from the first extent of the second end portion toward the first end portion.

    摘要: A method for assembling a rotor assembly for gas turbine engine is provided. The method includes providing a first rotor blade that includes an airfoil, a platform, a shank, and a dovetail. The airfoil extends radially outward from the platform, the shank extends radially inward from the platform, and the dovetail extends from the shank, forming a recess within a portion of the shank. The method also includes coupling the first rotor blade to a rotor shaft using the dovetail, and coupling a second rotor blade to the rotor shaft such that a shank cavity is defined between the first and second rotor blade shanks. During operation, cooling air may enter and pressurize the shank cavity through the recessed portion.

    摘要: A turbine has blade assemblies disposed about a rotor. Each of the blade assemblies have an airfoil and a bucket. Pockets are defined at trailing and leading sides of the bucket, with damper pin slots at an ends thereof. The damper pin slot at the trailing side has a depth sufficient for fully receiving a damper pin. The damper pin slot at the trailing side of a first adjacent blade assembly is positioned relative to the damper pin slot at the leading side of a second adjacent blade assembly to allow the damper pin to move. At each side of the pocket at the trailing side is a seal pin slot with seal pins therein. The seal pin slots extend beyond a line that is aligned with an inner edge of the damper pin slot at the trailing side, wherein the seal pins overlap the damper pin.
