Abstract: According to an aspect, a detection device includes: a light source; an optical sensor comprising a plurality of photodiodes configured to output pixel data corresponding to amounts of light received by the photodiodes; a light-transmitting placement substrate that is configured to be placed between the light source and the optical sensor and includes a portion configured to have an object to be detected placed thereon; a storage circuit configured to store point spread function (PSF) data corresponding to a luminance gradient based on a positional relation between the light source and the object to be detected; and a control circuit configured to generate a restored image by performing a deconvolution process using the PSF data on an image obtained by imaging the object to be detected using the optical sensor based on light from the light source.
